I cut this open and a wonderful, perfect watermelon smell came up and surprised me. I don't know what I was expecting but it had been so long since I'd had fresh watermelon that it was a real pleasure. The smell filled the whole room, so when the kids walked in they instantly knew there was a watermelon somewhere.
Amazing.
I guess I've always just bought pre-packaged slices of watermelon, with no charm.
Now I know!
