You're gonna love me for this one

If you have a Trader Joe's around you then you're in luck. Mix these two together in a bowl. The wasabi powder from the almonds gets all over the rice crackers and makes them taste heavenly. I eat this as a snack and can get away with eating a TON of it because the rice crackers are so low calorie. Try it with some wine, late at night with a good book and I swear you will LOVE me for life.

Add lemon!

Tonight I added a lemon slice to my cranberry juice and white wine. I can't even tell you how much I love this (see post named 'white wine and cranberry juice' below).

This wouldn't work AT ALL during the day because of the alcohol but after the sun sets it is delightful.

Summer Snack Time

Perrier with lemon over ice in a wine glass + a small bowl of this Frontera Chipotle salsa (hot) with some tortilla chips= heaven on Earth. I love this snack when it's blazing hot outside. So simple and so good.

Mr. Worker Man

He's tuff. He's got muscles. My son stuck his feet in some playdoh. I am endlessly fascinated by my children's toys. When I was a child I used to think toys came to life when I went to sleep every night.

Small pleasures

This is my baby's breakfast from today. I think this little trace of him he's left at the kitchen table is precious; the little bite marks on the bread and the half eaten applesauce.

Cranberry Juice and White Wine

You should try this, especially at 9:30pm as you grab the remote and a comfy chair so you can watch a comedy movie with your kids!

Cracking Up

I was trying to take their pic today and I said something forbidden so they would crack up.

Walnuts

I love eating soy ice cream. Especially with loads of chopped walnuts and some soy whipped cream on the side.

Bunny

Meet my favorite, Bunny. He's got the perfect, almost shy look on his little face; as if he's not quite sure about it all.

Playground

Candy Store

Immediately after I took this photo the shop keeper walked up to me and asked me not to take any photos of the displays of candy. I was quite shocked by his request because of how violently it pulled me out of my reverie of experiencing the store for the first time. The pure beauty and enchantment that the candy store held is hard to describe except to say that the displays were meticulously organized, it smelled like sugar in a mouth watering way, the amount and variety of the candy was like no other collection I had ever seen and the continuous loop of music played in the store was themed around candy, i.e. songs like "Lollipop," "Sugar, Sugar" etc.

Ironically it was very much like being in Wonka's factory and being accused of stealing the secret to the Everlasting Gobstopper. It was as if Wonka himself was slapping my hand and telling me I was messing up the factory or was a Bad Egg! I asked if he wanted me to erase my photo and he said no, it was OK. So here is the photo, very precious indeed!

I had some perfect timing on this shot as the exact moment I took the photo was the exact moment in the movie where Wonka is showing his guests his Everlasting Gobstopper (see the movie screen on the wall).

One of the simplest pleasures of them all.
