Immediately after I took this photo the shop keeper walked up to me and asked me not to take any photos of the displays of candy. I was quite shocked by his request because of how violently it pulled me out of my reverie of experiencing the store for the first time. The pure beauty and enchantment that the candy store held is hard to describe except to say that the displays were meticulously organized, it smelled like sugar in a mouth watering way, the amount and variety of the candy was like no other collection I had ever seen and the continuous loop of music played in the store was themed around candy, i.e. songs like "Lollipop," "Sugar, Sugar" etc.
Ironically it was very much like being in Wonka's factory and being accused of stealing the secret to the Everlasting Gobstopper. It was as if Wonka himself was slapping my hand and telling me I was messing up the factory or was a Bad Egg! I asked if he wanted me to erase my photo and he said no, it was OK. So here is the photo, very precious indeed!
I had some perfect timing on this shot as the exact moment I took the photo was the exact moment in the movie where Wonka is showing his guests his Everlasting Gobstopper (see the movie screen on the wall).
